North and East of the Cape

I think It is amazing how many of these natural formations exist around the globe and I am really impressed to know that we have some in our own country (South Africa).

Travelling north from the Fairest Cape I came across this interesting formation in the Karoo. It may be that I have a vivid imagination but please comment on what you see here.
